The NAIA Track and Field competition finished its third and final day with the Men’s 4×400 Relay.
Wayland Baptist, with teammates Jerry-Lee Davis, Lorenzo Dolphus, Dewayne Booker and Durawn Howard, won the relay with a time of 3:08.46. Siena Heights took second with a time of 3:10.86. Indiana Tech took third, and Dillard took fourth.

It was shaping up to be a close race between Wayland Baptist junior Kennedy Kithuka and Embry-College senior Evan Kirwa, but in the middle laps of the Men’s 5000 Meter Run, Kirwa walked off the track.

It was a close race all around, but freshman Remontay McClain pulled ahead of the pack, to take the lead in the men’s 200 Meter Dash final. McClain had a running time of 20.77 seconds, just a margin ahead of second place winner Kirk Wilson of Shorter University.

In one of the last events of the day, Silas Kisoria remained focused to take home first in the Men’s 800 Meter Run with a time of 1:47.98. Kisoria has been a strong competitor throughout the this week’s events.

It was a photo finish at the Men’s 400-Meter Dash. Ultimately, Randall Dameron of Shorter University took first with a time of 45.95. Gianna Veron-Reynold of Soka came in second with 46.24 and Dredam Carter come in third.

Sean Lewis, a junior from Point Loma, took first in the men’s 400-Meter Hurdles with a running time of 50.97. Junior Hines followed in second, Ross Harlan took third and Nathan Magstadt came in fourth with a running time of 51.93.
